Tonkawa Lady Buc softballers nearly evened their record out by getting third in the Frontier Battlefield Tournament.Tonkawa is now 8-9 for the season. They were to host Pond Creek Tuesday night, then begin first round action in the Cherokee Tournament Wednesday.Results of last week’s action follow: Hennessey 13 Tonkawa 12 Lacey Howard and Audrina Palmer each had three doubles, Stevee Osborn and Sarah Sherone one each in the loss to Hennessey Aug. 15.Scoring was by Jazmine Dollarhide 2, Adalynna Ingmire 2, audrina Palmer 4, Lacey Howard 2, Kaelyn Ramey 1, Shelby Dysart 1.Andrey Kienzle pitched, striking out two. Frontier 4 Tonkawa 0 Palmer doubled in the loss to Frontier Aug, 18. Kienzle pitched, striking out one. Tonkawa 6 Pawnee 5 Dysart and Ingmire each doubled in the win over Pawnee Aug. 19.
