NOC Tonkawa named Shelby Black as the assistant women’s basketball coach this week.Black is a recent Oklahoma State University Graduate where she earned a degree in University Studies and Secondary Education.“Shelby is a great fit for us,” said Lady Mavs head coach Greg Krause. “She has collegiate playing experience and is a local standout from Frontier High School. Shelby will have strong connections with area prospects. This is an opportunity for her to add coaching experience at the college level.”She played at NOC Enid and Grayson County (TX).Black, a native of Red Rock, Oklahoma, attended Frontier High School.She has a six-month old daughter, Astryd James Rodriguez- Black.
