Twelve Tonkawa area residents will be selected for “Leadership Tonkawa,” an eight-month program that builds leadership skill and teaches aspects of the Tonkawa community.The class will begin in September 2023 with applications due by Aug. 1. Priority applications are due by July 20.The class is led by Rex Ackerson and Scott Cloud. The purpose of the class is to encourage area residents to become more involved and use their leadership abilities for the Tonkawa community. The cost of the program is $200.Leadership Tonkawa is sponsored by the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce.Applications are available at the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce at 109 E. Grand.
