Lamont cemetery services setOn Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. the Lamont American legion will hold a secial ceremony at the Lamont Cemetery to honor those veterans who served during the Vietnam War. On arrival, all attendees will be given a program with stories of Vietnam Veterans. those veterans will have seats of honor during the ceremony and will be recognized. The program will begin with the laying of the wreath to the deceased Veterans by Commander Tony Aldrich followed by the address of Major Jim Hight, Oklahoma National Guard. Major Hight, a DCLA graduate, joined the National Guard in December, 1993 and served his country for 31 years in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Following his address there will be a 21 gun salute to the deceased veterans and playing of Taps. After the ceremony, all visitors are invited to have lunch at the Lamont Christian Church.Blllings Memorial Day services setA Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 29,2023 at the Billings Union Cemetery starting at 11:00 a.m. The service will include a speaker, taps, and gun salute. Donations are being accepted for maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery. Donations can be made at the service or mailed to Carrie Boyer 5901 CR 30 Billings, OK 74630.
