Melanie Caughlin-Bellinghausen Monday night was sworn in as Tonkawa’s newest school board member.She replaces Nancy Appleman, who did not seek re-election.After the swearing-in, the board was re-organized. Brian Bowling was elected president of the board, Casey McAninch vice president; and Jerry Hook, clerk.In other action, board members present including McAninch, Tyler Langston, Hook, Bowling and Bellinghausen: -- Approved warrants totalling $96,947.14 with $74,691.62 from the general fund; $22,186.83 from the building fund and $68.69 from the child nutrition fund.-- Approved a bill from Renaissance Architecture for $33,796.14.-- Approved a resolution for Schools and Libraries Universal Services which authorized filing of the form 471 applications for funding year 20232024 and the payment of the applican’ts share.-- Approved a contract with S&B CPA & Associates, PLLC, to complete the 2024 estimate of needs and the 2022-23 audit.-- Approved a contract services agreement with Evaluation works, LLC for the 202324 school year.-- Approved software service agreement with Municipal Accounting systems, Inc. for the 2023-24 school year.-- Åpproved a TPS Professional Development Committee for 2023-24. They include Monica Grein, ShaClair Garcia, Stony Fath, Frances Wecker, Kelle Klufa, Marcy Mulligan, Cinthia Rodriquez, Kaitlyn Andersn, Fawne Pierce and Aubree Wilkerson.-- Approved employment of Paige Legg as a substitute teacher.-- In new business, approved the purchase of a new 71-passenger bus from American Bus Sales, LLC for $42,155.
