Ted McCarter Is Named President of KC Bank C. Ted McCarter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis McCarter, 312 South Third Street, has been elected President of the Baltimore Bank & Trust Co. of Kansas City, Missouri. The bank is one of the ten largest banks in the Kansas City area with total assets in excess of $63 million Mr. McCarter joined the bank as Executive Vice President in 1971 after serving 11 years with the First National Bank of Kansas City where he began his career as a management trainee and advanced to Senior Vice President.Mr. McCarter is also a director of the Bank of Jacomo, Blue Springs, Missouri, the Quindaro State Bank, Kansas City, Kansas, the R. L. Faubion Tank Co., Kansas City, Missouri, the Snowden-Mize Companies of Atchison, Kansas. He is on the Board of Governors of the American Royal Association and the Kansas City Philharmonic and has served on the board of the Johnson County Park Board and the Florence Crittenton Association. Other memberships include the University Club, Mercury Club, and Mission Hills Country Club.He is a 1954 graduate of Tonkawa High School and was a member of the 1953 and 1954 state champion football teams.He was graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1958 with special Distinction and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Mr. and Mrs. McCarter and their two children, Michelle, 7 and Charlie, 4, live in Mission Hills, Kansas.City PTA To Sponsor Parent Shield Program Tonkawa grade school children went home from school today with an application for their parents to become members of the Parent Shield Program.The PSP is sponsored by the Tonkawa Parent-Teacher Association, and its purpose is to act as eyes and ears for the Police Department and to provide instant recognized help for any troubled youngster. The main function is to be available when a child needs help, to know what to ask, and to know whom to call.If parents are interested in being Shield Program volunteers, they should fill out the applications and return them to the school.
