Tonkawa girls and boys basketball teams improved to 4-2 on the young season.Both girls and boys won the consolation wide of the Garber tourney bracket this past weekend. Tuesday, the teams were on the road at Chisholm before closing out ths first half of the season at Garber Friday night.In action this past week, the girls beat Woodland, then lost the first round of the tourney vs. Perry 37-40 before sweeping the final two games over Newkirk 61-55 and Cashion 37-36.The boys fell to Woodland 46-57 last Tuesday, then to Okarche in the first round of the tourney 45-96. They swept their final two games in the tourney, beating Cashion 43-41 and Perry 53-43 to win the consolation trophy.
