Shelly Martin and Dawn McGaha of Tonkawa win the weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest this week and split first and second money of $8.50 each.Third and $3 goes to Tracy Summers. Several entries only missed one game this week. Martin and McGaha tied even with their tie-breaker score. Martin picked the Bucs to beat Colcord 36-34 and McGaha picked the Bucs 32-30, both 23 points off the final 14-35 Colcord win.Summers picked the Bucs to win 28-17, 32 off the final 35-14 Buc loss. Martha Parker also just missed one game, but was further off on the tie-breaker.This week’s contest will be the end of the regular season. The holiday contest will come out in late December. Watch for it on your newstand.Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week during the regular season.Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third. Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
