ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas -- The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Mavs swept two games at the Cowley Classic last weekend. The Lady Mavs (2-1) were 57-54 winners over Allen (KS) and then beat host Cowley College (KS) 76-69.Against Cowley, Jordan Holman scored 33 points and had 16 rebounds to lead the Lady Mavs. The Lady Mavs also received Allison Green while Brooke Robertson had 12 points from the Lady Mav bench. NOC broke open a close game in the 4th building as much as a 10 point lead in the game’s final minutes.“A good win in a tough environment,” said coach Greg Krause. “These last two wins on the road help show our girls the value of competing hard and never pulling back defensively. We shot 54% from the field was our best offensive performance this season.” NOC held Cowley to just 30% from the floor and 32% from 3-point range. The Mavs shot 54% from the field and 36% from 3-point land. Against Allen County (KS) Lexie Boyer’s fourth 3-pointer in the game’s final minute led the NOC Lady Mavs past Allen (KS) 57-54 in the Cowley Classic in Arkansas City, Kansas, on Friday.
