Dawn McGaha of Tonkawa wins the weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest this week and gets $10.Second and $7 goes to Martha Parker. Third and $3 goes to Travis Parker. McGaha and Martha Parker both just missed one game. McGaha was closest on the tie-breaker picking Tonkawa to beat Hominy 32-30, just 14 points off the actual 21-27 loss by the Bucs. Martha picked the Bucs 47-40, 25 points off Travis Parker led a whole host of pickers that just missed two games on the contest. He was nine points off on the tie-breaker, picking the Bucs, 27-24. Others missing two but farther off on the tiebreaker included Marissa Parker, Cochanna Parker, Shelly and Mark Martin.Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week during the regular season.Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third. Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
