The name Morrison speaks for itself. This, according to Buc Head Coach Mike Kirtley. That’s Tonkawa’s next opponent in the quest for District A-5 supremacy.Kick off is at 7 p.m. this Thursday at Buc Stadium.Don’t fall for Morrison’s 2-4 record. They beat Newkirk 18-6 and OKU 32-0, but lost to Tulsa Noah 0-43, Crescent 7-18, Chelsea 12-28 and Hominy 7-33.“They have a tough defense as usual, with a four front,” Kirtley said. Offensively, they are “very multiple this year, running their usual Wing-T as well as a spread. They like to fling it around a bit,” Kirtley said.“It will be a tough game especially since we have a short week and several key players kinda’ gimpy,” Kirtley ended. Morrison always plays the Bucs tough. Last year, the two teams split, with the Bucs taking the regular season 27-6 and then the Wildcats denying Tonkawa from the semis in a 12-0 upset in the quarterfinals.Morrison is ranked as high as 21st in Class A statewide.
