All four Tonkawa backs finished with over 100 yards at Chouteau Friday night in a 54-19 districtopening victory.Blake Bristow led the way with 168 yards on 17 carries and five touchdowns. Cam Jackson had 116 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns. Roman Chandler had 113 yards on just 6 carries and one touchdown.Quarterback Ryan Morgan was 9-13 passing for 124 yards. His favorite receivers -- Bristow caught 4 for 65 yards and Chandler 3 for 45.It was the Buc defense that sparked the outcome in the right direction for Tonkawa when Peyten Keith caused a fumble on Chouteau’s first possession and Dom Grein was there to cover.That set the Bucs up offensively at the Wildcat 34. Five plays later Bristow scored from 6 yards out and Chandler ran the two point conversion to put the Bucs up 8-0. Bristow had a 16 yard run in the drive.But that didn’t last long. The Wildcats scored on first down after the ensuing kickoff, going 80 yards, but still trailed 6-8 when the extra point kick failed.Chouteau used onside kicks the entire game, so Tonkawa had but 50 yards to go after the kickoff. Bristow scored from 3 yards out and Jackson booted the extra point kick to put the Bucs up 15-6. Jackson had a 12 yard run in the 9 play drive.Tonkawa would score on 8 of its first 9 possessions. A 39 yard field goal went just wide as time ran out in the first half.Chouteau closed the gap on its next possession going 73 yards in 9 plays with the TD coming on a 37 yard pass play.Tonkawa went up 22-12 on an 18 yard run by Bristow with 8:25 left in the first half. Jackson kicked the point after. The 56 yard drive took just five plays and included passes from Morgan to Bristow for 14 yards and to Chandler for 36 yards.Jackson capped a 94 yard drive in 6 plays to close out the first half with a five yard scoring scamper.
