The Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks dropped their third straight Sunday with a 3-1 loss to NEO.NOC is now 1-4-1 on the year and 0-3 in conference play. Miguel Chavez scored the lone goal for NOC scoring late in the second half. NOC outshot the Norse 19-9 on the day.“Despite the loss I thought we played better,” said coach Michael DuRoy. “We had more possession than in previous games. We just kill ourselves with mistakes. You cannot give up an own goal, consistently make bad passes in the back, and give up two penalty kicks and win if you aren’t extremely talented. Our focus for the rest of the season needs to be 100% on each game as they come. Despite the horrible start we can still make the playoffs.” NOC is at Dodge City Saturday in their next game action at 3 p.m.
