Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa Men’s Basketball Coach Brad Witherspoon is leaving NOC for the head coaching position at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kansas.Witherspoon led the Mavs to a 21-8 record and the Region 2 Regular Season Championship in his only season at NOC.“I would like to thank NOC and the great people I have met here the last year,” Witherspoon said. “I would also like to thank our players who trusted us and NOC to better their future. Emily and I are going to miss everyone here but taking over the program at Dodge City Community College was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. We will always remember our time In Tonkawa.”Previous to NOC Tonkawa, Witherspoon coached at Barton County Community College, John Wood Community College, Doane University, and Kilgore College.He is originally from Humboldt, Kansas, and played at the University of Kansas.Northern Oklahoma College, the state’s first public two-year community college, is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services.
