Statewide election activity officially begins at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday April 13, 2022 when the filing period opens, the Secretary of the Kay County Election Board said today.Candidates for State Offices file with Secretary of the State Election Board. Candidates for County Offices file with the Secretary of the County Election Board.Kay County Election Board Secretary Carol Leaming said the following offices are expected to be filled this year:County Offieces: Kay County Commissioner District #1, Kay County Commissioner District #3, Kay County Assessor, Kay County Treasurer.State Offices: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Auditor and Inspector, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Commissioner of Labor, Insurance Commissioner, Corporation Commissioner, United States Senator, United States Representative, Justice of the Supreme Court, Judges of the Court of Criminal Appeals, Judges of the Court of Civil Appeals,, District Attorney, District Judge, Associate District Judge, State Senator, State Representative .Filing forms and information may be obtained by contacting the Kay County Election Board at 580 362 2130 or kaycounty@elections.ok.gov.
