NOC Tonkawa split conference games with NOC Enid Saturday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.Mavs 82, NOC Enid 69The NOC Mavs won their fifth straight with an 82-69 win over NOC Enid Saturday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.The Mavs (19-6) improved to 10-3 in conference while the Jets (10-15) fell to 3-9 in league play.Cam Malray led a balanced attack with 16 points while Nick Cham added 15, Cashius McNeilly 12, Syrus Grisby 12, and DJ Jones 10.The Mavs built a 41-33 lead at half and controlled the second half until the Jets rallied to within 70-67 with 4:19 left.NOC then dominated the final minutes outscoring the Jets 12-2 down the stretch.Malray led the late run with six while Cham added four points.Malray added eight rebounds while Grisby and Naadhir Wood added six each.The Mavs have now won three straight over the Jets including a 75-63 win in December.NOC Enid 80, Lady Mavs 74Shelby Rayner and Jordan Holman combined for 43 points but it wasn’t enough in an 80- 74 loss to NOC Enid Saturday night.The Lady Mavs (11-12) fell to 6-7 in the OCAC while the Lady Jets (10-7) improved to 8-4 in conference.NOC Tonkawa led the Lady Jets 32-30 at half but the Lady Jets outscored the Lady Mavs 30-19 in the third period to take a 60-52 lead.The Lady Mavs battled back cutting the lead to 73-72 with 2:49 left but the Lady Jets outscored the Lady Mavs 7-2 the rest of the way.Rayner led the Lady Mavs with 24 while Holman had 19 despite battling foul trouble. Travisha Cogdell also reached double figures with 11. Cogdell led the Lady MavsCogdell led the Lady Mavs with nine rebounds. “Our defense on the ball and weakside defensive help and rotation were not strong in the second half,” said coach Greg Krause. “We need to work toward putting two good halves together. I think it’s important to put a good run together in our last three games before heading into playoffs.”
