Tonkawa midhi football teams swept Alva Monday night.The sixth graders won 12-0.The seventh-eighth grader team won 30-0.Next action will be at Morrison Thursday, Oct. 7.The sixth and seventh graders remain unbeaten. The eighth graders are 2-1.Sixth GradersKayson Thompson ran for touchdowns of 17 and 35 yards in the first and second quarters for the 12-0 win over Alva.Seventh-Eighth GradersLucas Keith covered two fumbles and tackled Alva’s punter at the five yard line to set up two touchdowns Monday night in a 30-0 shellacking of the Alva Goldbugs.Cayden Duvall scored the first TD on a five yard run after Keith’s punter tackle.Another punt by Alva was blocked by Gavin ward and Duvall ran that across from five out. westyn Freeman ran the two point conversion to put the Tonkawa up 14-0.Tate Coffey had a near interception in the first half and Keith covered two fumbles in the first half.Duvall had an interception in the third period.A 27 run by Duvall and a pass for a two point PAT to Coffey put the Bucs up 22-0.The Bucs would score one more time. This time it was Keith who ran 39 yards in the final period and Matthew Gottman ran for the two point PAT, giving Tonkawa its final margin of victory, 30-0.
