Tonkawa goes into District A-3 play this Friday.The Bucs host Crescent. Kick off is at 7 p.m. at Buc Stadium.The Tigers were off last week.The Bucs picked up their third win of the season, beating Morrison 27-16.“It was a good game to have going into league play. I’m happy to get out of there with a win,” Head Coach Mike Kirtley said.“Morrison has great tradition and it should instill some confidence in our kids going into district play this Friday.”Crescent is 3-1 on the season, as are the Bucs.The Tigers beat Newkirk 37-7, apache 21-6 and North Rock Creek 30-12. They lost the season opener to Hennessey 14-27.On offense, Crescent will be in a full house backfield. “They just line up and try to run over you,” Kirtley said. “They’ll also run some pro-I and a lot of 3-back alignments.”Defensively, Crescent will be in a four front.Tonkawa escaped the Tigers a year ago 21-20.
