Martha Parker wins first and gets $10 in the weekly Tonkawa News Football Contest.Second and $7 goes to Mike Smith.Third place and $3 goes to Shelly Martin.Parker and Smith both submitted entries which missed one game. Parker was closest on the tie-breaker, picking Tonkawa to beat Blackwell 32-14, eight off the actual 32-6 score. Smith picked the Bucs 28-27.Martin was among three who missed two games, but wins third because of the tie-breaker. She picked the Bucs to win 35-6, three points off. Others who missed two but who were farther off included Tracy Summers and Marissa Parker.Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week during the regular season.Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third.Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.Entrants are urged to circle a winner for each game and fill in the tie-breaker score.
