B. Morton.Mrs. Zinn was introduced by Mrs. George Taylor and spoke on “Truth” as a substance for life. She elaborated on truth in the areas of action, thought, and service.Mrs. Charles Schnorr, vice president, presided at the meeting when it was planned to hold installation of officers at 7:30 p.m. March 15 in the home of Mrs. J. Godwin, Mrs. McFadden, Mrs. Joe Head, Mrs. Tracy Peck and Mrs. Whitting.Bob Vincent Wins $300 FFA Award At Parent-Son Banquet Friday EveningBob Vincent, president of the Tonkawa FFA chapter, was Friday evening named winner of a $300 agriculture scholarship, given annually by the Bank of Commerce. The announcement was made at the annual parent-son banquet held in the Fellowship hall of the First Christian church.J. W. Boone, president of the bank, made the presentation. The identity of the recipient was held secret until the banquet. The winner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Vincent, 113 N. Summit.Two other FFA members – Wesley Ailey and Danny Burns – were recipients of $25 cashier checks from Tonkawa Sales company and Dale (RED) Walker, given for their outstanding FFA and school work accomplishments.
