Tonkawa Board of Education approved changes to the midhi/high school and grade school handbook at their most recent meeting.
It was held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 30. Present were board members Casey McAninch, Brian Bowling, Cara Beth Johnson and Nancy Appleman. Absent was Jerry Hook.
In other action, the board:
-- Approved Superintendent Lori Simpson as purchasing agent for all federal programs, etc.
-- Approved renewal of the sublease agreement dated sept. 1, 2012, between the district and Kay County Public Buildings authority for the new fiscal year.
-- Approved ‘20-’21 encumbrances totalling $67,593.06 with $63,489.06 from the general and $4,104 from the child nutrition funds.
-- Approved ‘21-’22 encumbrances totalling $790,933.53 with $490,240.29 from the general, $49,923.24 from the building and $250,780 from the child nutrition funds.
