VIRGINIA WINIFRED LUCAS

Virginia Winifred Lucas, née Byrum, was born in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, August 21st 1925 to Virgil and Winifred Byrum.

She lived out her life in the Tonkawa and Blackwell area except for short periods of time in Wichita, Kansas, with family. Virginia cared for her own mother and also her stepfather, for 15 years, until her mother passed away.

Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Sprigman Williams, with whom she had three children Dennis Williams, Crystal Mueggenborg, and Terry Ramlow. She remarried to Robert Paul and had a son David Paul and daughter Carmen Stout. She divorced Robert Paul and subsequently married Clarence Fleming, with whom she had a daughter Gloria Grace.

Virginia had 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Winifred, older brother Jack, and an infant son Mark.

She passed away in her sleep on June 25th at Willow Haven nursing home in Tonkawa, where she received loving and excellent care.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1st at the Christian Life Church, 115 W Grand Ave, Tonkawa, OK.
