Concert tonight at Heart in the Park
“Hillcrest Ensemble” will perform “The Great American Songbook” at the upcoming Full Moon Concert on Thursday, June 24 at the Heart in the Park pavilion in Centennial Park, 301 East Grand in Tonkawa. Eight area musicians will present American Standards – including classics such as Blue Moon, Crazy, Sentimental Journey, Georgia on my Mind, Let It Be Me, In the Mood, On the Sunny Side of the Street, Walking after Midnight, and more popular favorites.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free to all. Since seating in the park is limited, the public is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Snacks, drinks, and pets on leashes are welcome, and restrooms are located across the street in the Santa Fe Depot.
Heart in the Park and NCOAC are not liable for any risks for Covid-19. All Heart in the Park and NCOAC events will abide by CDC Guidelines. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Art Center of Tonkawa at 202 East Grand. Sen. Coleman to speak to County GOP
Sen. Bill Coleman will speak at the Kay County Republican Party monthly meeting 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at Pioneer Tech - 2101 N. Ash, Ponca City.

Bill Coleman represents Senate District 10, which covers all of Osage County and most of Kay County. He is a longtime Ponca City broadcaster and business owner.
He and his wife, Helen, live in Ponca City where he owns and operates Team Radio Marketing Group, which consists of five radio stations in Ponca City and Stillwater. Helen is a financial adviser and former school teacher. Coleman is the past chairman of the Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce, past chairman of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters, past board member of the National Association of Broadcasters in Washington, and is a current member of the International Broadcasters Idea Bank.
Chamber to give away cooler
