ENID, Oklahoma -- The NOC Mavs stayed alive in the conference tournament with a 7-5 win over North Central Missouri College Monday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
NOC (32-26) now faces Western Tuesday at 1 p.m. in an elimination game. Western lost to Rich Mountain 7-2 Monday night.
Matt Minyon had three hits including a fourth inning home run for the Mavs while Sam Shank had three hits and three runs batted in.
The Mavs built a 7-3 lead and then held off the Pirates, staving off two late inning threats.
Jacob Ellis started for the Mavs allowing three earned runs on seven hits in five innings. Clayton Solomon allowed an unearned run in two innings of work and then Malik Wilson earned the save with two innings of one run baseball.
Both teams had nine hits and made two errors.
