Rose 2, Mavs 1 (OT)
NOC scored the first goal of the game when Damorney Hutchinson scored on an assist from Kareem Williams and NOC led 1-0. Rose then scored midway in the second half sending the game to overtime. Rose then scored on a penalty kick which they converted for the win.
“I was extremely disappointed in the loss, but I give credit to Rose State,” said coach Michael Duroy. “They have a good team. We just didn’t make enough plays when we could have to win the game. We are still in first place in the conference with the second round of games starting Friday. It’s going to be exciting to see who can win the conference.”
