Tonkawa baseballers play Pawhuska in the first round of the Conference Tournament at Woodland, Fairfax, Thursday, at 3 p.m.
If they win, they play the winner between Pawnee and Glencoe at 5 p.m. Friday. Losers of the same games play at 1 p.m. Friday.
Other teams in the tourney include Frontier, Newkirk, Woodland and Barnsdall.
The Bucs are 4-8 for the season so far.
In action this past week, Tonkawa beat OK Union 8-4, but lost twice to Dale by 16-6 and 16-2 margins. Monday night, the Bucs lost a close call to Caney Valley 10-13.

Luke Shepherd, Noah Campbell and Jake Randall each scored two runs in the 8-4 win over OK Union last Tuesday, March 30. Kai Day and Chazz Slavens each scored once.
CJ Ballard had three RBI’s, while Randall, Shepherd and Ryan Morgan each had one.
Randall and Noah Campbell each stole three bases, Shepherd two and Slavens and Kai Day one each.
Ballard pitched five innings, striking out five. Day pitched two innings, striking out one.

In the first game of a doubleheader Friday, april 2, Tonkawa fell to dale 6-16.
Day scored twice, while Ryan Morgan, Shepherd, Jake Morgan and Ethan Howard each scored once.
Campbell, who tripled in the game, had three RBI’s. Jake Morgan had one.
Ballard, Howard, both Morgans and Shepherd each had stolen bases.
Day pitched three innings, striking out one. Landon Strong pitched 1.1 innings, striking out one. Ryan Morgan pitched 1.1 innings and Cooper Braden also pitched.
