Tonkawa Buc baseballers are 2-1 on the young season and will be in the Ripley tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Bucs swept a twinbill at Pawhuska last Tuesday, 13-3 and 21-0 after their season opening loss to Perry.
Tonkawa opens the Ripley tourney vs. hosts Ripley at 10 a.m. Thursday. If they win, they will play Atoka at 2:30 p.m. the same day. If they lost they will play the Leedey-Am-Po loser at 12:15 p.m. Friday.
Other teams in the tourney include Sterling, Morrison, Newkirk and Vian.
Head Coach Brady Holland announced the roster for the 2021 Bucs this week.
They include the following: Seniors -- Colton Anson, Ethan Howard.
Juniors -- Kai Day, Jake Randall, Chazz Slavens, Cesar Amaya, Bryer Bay, Jake Morgan, Noah Campbell, J.R. Grein, C.J. Ballard.
Sophomores -- Braden Paker, Landon Strong, Dillion Skaggs.
Freshmen -- Cooper Braden, Dalton Pierce, Luke Shepherd, Derek Strong, Ryan Morgan, Kyle Dollarhide, Devin Taylor.

Bryer Bay and Luke Shepherd doubled in the 13-3 win over Pawhuska last Tuesday in the early game.
Bay had two RBI‘s, Jake Morgan, Jake Randall and Noah Campbell each had one.
Campbell and Slavens each had three stolen bases, Cooper Braden two and Ballard, Randall and Day one each.
Slavens scored three runs, Morgan and Ballard two each, and shepherd, Braden, Campbell, Randall, Bay and Day one each.
Ballard pitched four innings, striking out 11. Braden pitched the final two, striking out 8.

In the nightcap, Slavens tripled and Randall doubled.
Slavens had three RBI’s, R. Morgan and Shepherd two each, Braden, Pierce, Bay, J. Morgan, Strong and Ballard one each.
R. Morgan, Braden and Day each scored three times, Ballard and Shepherd twice each and Slavens, Pierce, Campbell, J. Morgan, strong and Howard one each.
Campbell had three stolen bases, Braden and Shepherd two each and Day one.
Chazz Slavens itched all four innings, striking out nine.
