Mia Brown and Dylan McLean have been chosen as the NOC Maverick and Lady Maverick Basketball Student Athletes of the Week.
Brown is a sophomore from Mustang, Oklahoma while McLean is a freshman from Brooklyn, New York.
Brown had 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals against Labette last Friday night while McLean scored 18 points in a road win against the Cardinals.
“Mia (Brown) has been battling nagging injuries, so it was good to see her return close to full speed,” said coach Greg Krause. “She is a very skilled player who can affect a game in many positive ways.”
“Dylan (McLean) did a great job this week.,” said coach Donnie Jackson. “He hasn’t forced anything and has let the game come to him. If he can continue to improve, he could be an X-Factor for us in conference play.”
