The Tonkawa Pride and Beautification Committee was joined by the family and friends of the late Bruce Robinson for the recent dedication of a park bench in his memory. The bench is at home in the downtown historic district at Centennial Park. Robinson was one of the founding members of the Pride and Beautification committee formed in 2007 and chaired the board for many years. He took great pride in the Tonkawa community and believed his friends and neighbors should as well. This committee is responsible for determining what should be done to make Tonkawa a more inviting place to live or own a business. Robinson logged many hours driving around town looking for projects to assist with as well as taking care of the planters and flowers in the downtown area. Creating a favorable impression of our town for people who live here as well as those who might be visiting or driving through was something he was very proud of. (Ken Crowder photo)
