Homecoming mum sales continue
Mum sales for Homecoming Oct. 23 are continuing if you have not bought yours, Juniors will be selling mums until they run out at the game Thursday night and again on Sunday from 1-4 at Venture Foods. The Bucs play OCA 7 p.m. Thursday and host Hinton Friday, Oct. 23 for Homecoming.
Lions Club meets today
Tonkawa Lions meeting each Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Heritage Room at the First National Bank of Oklahoma.
Haunted Sale barn opens Friday
The Haunted Sale Barn, located at the dead end of Seventh Street in Tonkawa, will be open Friday, Oct. 16 from 8-11 p.m. Cost is $10 per victim.
Other hours include Oct. 17, 8-11; Oct. 22, 8-10 half price night; Oct. 23, 8-11; Oct. 24, 8-11; Oct. 28, 8-10; Oct. 29, 8-10; Oct. 23, 8-10; Oct. 30, 8-11; and Oct. 31, 8-11. There will be a limited concession stand.
Quarterback Club tourney Saturday
The Tonkawa Quarterback Club’s four person scramble golf tournament will be Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Blackwell golf course. Cost is $300 per team or $75 per person. The shotgun starts at 10 a.m. with lunch to follow. Proceeds go to the quarterback club. sponsor a hole for $100. Until further notice, the Tonkawa Public Library will no longer offer access to public computers. This is a precaution taken to keep both the patrons and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
