Tonkawa’s Lady Buc fast pitch softball team fell 0-8 in the first round of Regionals at Wyandotte then won their way back to the championship match before being eliminated.
The season ends for the youthful Bucs at 15 wins and 13 losses.
After falling to Wilburton 0-8 in the first round, the Lady Bucs used two doubles by Alyssa Pando and 10 strikeouts by pitcher Taylor Mercer to beat Mounds 10-8.
Then in the rubber match vs. Wilburton, the Lady Bucs got a double from Jaci Johnson and a grand slam home run from Jules Thompson to beat wilburton 9-8.
In the championship match vs. Wyandotte, the Lady Bucs fell 0-18.
