New extrication equipment and an enclosed trailer arrived this week at Pioneer Technology Center (PTC). These items were purchased through a partnership with Northern Safety & Industrial who discounted former demonstration equipment. Through this generous act along with additional contributions from Phillips 66 and the Ponca City Fire and Life Safety Council, PTC’s shared investment resulted in a training equipment bundle valued at over $35,000. These tools will be used for automobile, industrial, and farm rescue extrication training.
“This is a great addition to PTC’s training capabilities, not only for FF/EMT students but for outreach training with area fire departments. We are very thankful to our partners who made this possible,” said Gary Vap, Firefighter/EMT instructor.
