Newkirk Public Schools has released rules for Thursday night’s home game with Tonkawa, Athletic Director Kyle Simpson announced this week. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. tonight in Newkirk.
No band and cheerleaders will be allowed.

Newkirk Public Schools Fall Outdoor Athletics Event Protocol
The goal of Newkirk Public Schools is to limit the spread of COVID-19 between communities. Below are protocols we are putting in place to mitigate the exposure of COVID-19 between communities.
Masks: Masks are encouraged to be worn while at our events. While at the concession, public restrooms (not portable restrooms) and other areas where social distancing can not be maintained we are requiring masks.
Concessions: All workers are required to wear gloves and a mask. Money takers are not allowed to handle food and drinks. Please wear a mask while standing in line for concessions.
Gates: Workers are required to wear gloves and a mask. Entry fees are $5 for adults and $3 for students during varsity games and $4 for adults and $2 for students during junior high games. Please have correct change before arrival so the exchanging of money does not take place. Sanitation stations will be placed at each gate. Visitor fans park on the east side of the stadium and use the east gate. Home fans park on the west side of the stadium and use the west gate.
Restrooms: They will be sanitized before the game. Portable toilets will be placed on each side of the stadium. We encourage you to stay on your designated side. If you are using the public restrooms please wear a mask.
Seating: Please use social distancing. Please stay in family groups. Lawn chairs are allowed. Visiting fans will be allowed on the grass in the south endzone. Home fans will be allowed in the grass in the north endzone. Please do not put lawn chairs on the track surface. Our band will be seated on the covered part of the track to the south of the home stands. After the game, fans will need to exit the venue immediately and are not allowed onto the field.
Cheer and Band: Due to limited seating, We are not allowing visiting cheerleaders or band. Likewise our cheerleaders and band will not travel to away games. Our band will play the opposing teams fight song before the game.
