First day of school information for Tonkawa Elementary School was announced by Principal Kelly Martin this week. School begins Thursday, Aug. 20.
It follows:
School begins at 8:05. Parents of pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and new students will be allowed to walk his/her student to the classroom on the first day of school. Everyone will have temperature taken. After the first day of school, teachers will meet students to direct them to breakfast or walking trail.
For students in grades 1-5, parents will need to drop off students and not enter the building. Please take the first day of school pictures at home or outside of the school. If congregating outside school, please maintain social distancing. It may take us a little while to get everyone into the school on the first day. We will have walk through temperature machines that we will be learning to use. It is important that you read the handbook before school starts as it answers many questions you might have.
