“Continue to do what you’re doing,” City Manager Kirk Henderson urged this week.
“We are anxious to open up our economy once again,” Henderson said. “That will slowly start when the governor lifts current restrictions.”
In the meantime, Henderson urged residents to “continue to social distance and do the things to keep yourself and your family healthy. We’re been very fortunate in Tonkawa as far as our residents’ health is concerned.”
Superintendent Lori Simpson said parents would be able to finish the final six hours of driving time for driver’s education. Simpson said a form should be released very soon for parents to use.
The school is continuing its feeding program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Five meals are given in sacks for each student ages 0-18.
