The world-renowned Heart in the Park Labyrinth was completed in 2007 and is located in Centennial Park in Tonkawa’s historic downtown district. Dedicated community volunteers continue to maintain and care for the park and host activities for citizens of all ages as well as promote the labyrinth for tourism. According to event planner Audrey Schmitz, funds are needed to complete a permanent on-site art installation, “Hands in Clay,” a 10-year collaboration with Tonkawa Public School children.
