Hospice of North Central Oklahoma is hosting a free Educational Presentation on Tuesday, January 14th in the Evan’s Fireside room from Noon-1:00pm. LifeShare Oklahoma will be here to speak on organ transplant donation services. Come learn as they speak about Organ and Transplant service 101. There will be a Q & A available at the end of the presentation.
LifeShare, created in 1986 as The Oklahoma Organ Sharing Network, is a nonprofit, federally designated organ procurement organization (OPO) dedicated to the recovery of organs and tissue for transplant purposes. They work closely with four transplant centers (OU Medical Center, The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center, and St. John’s Medical Center) and 145 healthcare organizations in the state of Oklahoma to facilitate donation. Additionally, we strive to raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation through public education.
Although this event is free and open to the public, please RSVP by Monday, January 13 by calling the Hospice office at 580-762-9102.
