Northern Oklahoma College athletics selected Chideyah Guyton and Tyrel Morgan as the Student
Athletes of the Week for Dec. 2.
Guyton is a 5-9 sophomore forward from DeSoto, Texas, while Morgan is a 6-5 freshman forward from Atlanta, Georgia.
For the last three games, Guyton averaged 17 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game, 1.3 steals per game, shot 47% from the field (16-34), and 44.4% from the 3 point line (8-18).
“Che (Guyton) is beginning to hit her stride after an injury red-shirt season last year, and an early season illness this year,” said coach Greg Krause. “She is playing aggressively and showing consistent production through the last two weeks. We expect her to be a key player during our stretch of conference play.”
Morgan averaged 16 points and nine rebounds in three games last week.
“Tyrel (Morgan) is a steady presence for our team,” said coach Donnie Jackson. “He goes out and plays hard and always gives his all. He knows how to make the right play and doesn’t try to do too much. His consistency has allowed us to have our early success.”
