In 2016, State Superintendent of Schools Joy Hofmeister inaugurated the first class of her Student Advisory Council. Ashton Linton, a senior at Tonkawa high school has been chosen for the 2019-2020 council. “This standout group of young people provide a valuable perspective for the Oklahoma State Department of Education,” she said. “Your leadership and willingness to serve is of great value to your school, community and state.”
