NOC Concert Band, choir to perform
The Northern Oklahoma Division of Fine Arts presents the NOC Concert Band, College Choir, and Madigral Singers Concert Dec. 5. The concert will be held at the Kinzer Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. The Jazz Band Pre-Show is at 7:10 p.m. Dr. Edward Dixon directs the concert band while Shannon Varner directs the choir and madrigal singers. The college choir will perform holiday songs from around the world.
Chicken Noodle Dinner Sunday
The Tonkawa Livestock Boosters will have their annual chicken noodle dinner on Sunday, December 8th, from 11-2. It will be held at Mary’s Grill. Come out and enjoy good Chicken Noodles and help support the local Livestock exhibitors.
Alumni basketball games set Dec. 28
The second annual Tonkawa alumni basketball game will be played at 2 p.m. saturday, Dec. 28, in the Event Center. It is sponsored by the Tonkawa senior class of 2020.
Drawing for gift cards tonight
An Olde Tyme Christmas drawing, sponsored by Oxford Tire, will be held Dec. 5. Being given are 2-$50 Gift Cards.
Sign up at the Chamber Office or Oxford Tire Mon-Fri 9-4 weekdays up until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday December 5, 2019. The drawing will be held following the parade (7:00 p.m.) at Heart in the Park.
Top of Oklahoma Museum sets feed
The Top of Oklahoma Historical society Museum in Blackwell will be sponsoring a feed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, dec. 6 in the museum clubroom. Menu will include choice of chili, chicken noodles and stew lunch. Admission will be $5 for a festive cup of soup, crackers, dessert and drink. Add a grilled cheese sandwich for $1 more. Questions? Democrat women will meet
The Kay County Federation of Democratic Women will again be meeting the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. These meetings will precede the County Democratic Party meetings held at the Pioneer Tech seminar room.
Giving tree apps taken by chamber
The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce is now taking applications for children 0-18 years old that are in need of some assistance purchasing items for Christmas. This program is confidential and applications can be picked up at the chamber office, 102 E. Grand, Monday-Friday, from 9-4. Only parents or legal guardians should fill out the application.
