Filing opens monday
Candidates for the Board of Education in seven Kay County School Districts file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2019.
Cheryl Howard, Secretary of the Kay County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 4th.
The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled April 7, 2020. If three or more candidates file for one office a Primary School Election will be held on February 11, 2020.
In Tonkawa, office five is up for election. It is presently held by Casey McAninch, who plans to seek re-election.
