If something could go wrong Friday night, it did for Tonkawa in an 8-33 loss to Barnsdall.
-- Four lost fumbles and three Panther touchdowns as a result.
-- A partially blocked punt
-- An onside kick covered by Barnsdall
-- Two kickoff returns nullified by penalty -- One of 85 yards by Kai day for a touchdown and another for 45 yards by Peyton
Day.
-- Two running touchdowns nullified by penalty -- one of 58 by
Peyton day and another of 13 by Tristan Burdick.
And if that wasn’t enough, Tonkawa’s final offensive possession ended with an interception at the 1:55 mark of the final quarter. three plays later and the game was over.
The Bucs were flagged nine times, mostly for holding.
Besides the three touchdowns that were called back, Tonkawa had its chances even then.
After falling behind 13-0 after the Panthers capitalized on Buc fumbles, Tonkawa drove 50 yards in 10 plays. Kai Day scored from three yards out at the 1:05 mark of the first period. Nathan

It was 8-13.
But with 27 seconds still left in the first period, the Panthers went up 19-8 on a two play 65 yards drive.
The Panthers added two more touchdowns in the second quarter and took a 33-8 advantage to halftime.
Neither team scored in the second half.
Tonkawa got to the Barnsdall 13 twice in the fourth quarter, but failed to punch it across the goal-line.
Peyton Day rushed for 121 yards on 13 carries. Kai Day had 85 yards on 10 carries.
Quarterback Nathan Anderson was 7-18 passing for 81 yards and rushed for another 40 on 9 carries.
Parker Miller led the team in reception with four for 46 yards.
Miller led the team in tackles with 11. Kai Day had 8, Peyton Day and Clay Massey 7 each. Carson Robinson had six.
Kai Day also had a fumble recovery and Anderson an interception.
The Bucs are 5-4 on the season so far and are off this week. They will close out the season at Hominy Nov. 8.
