Homecoming mums still available
Homecoming mums are still available but are selling quickly. If you have not bought a mum for yourself, your student, or your special someone call us at the high school 580-628-2566. Ask for Dawn Huff or the Art Room. Students would love to sell you a mum. Proceeds go toward senior activities and prom.
Eat chili Friday night
The Tonkawa Lions Club Chili Supper is Friday, Sept. 20 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the THS Cafeteria before the Bucs host Drumright.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for Children 10 and under. A ticket includes chili and dessert.
Take outs are available.
Tickets are available at the door or from any Tonkawa Lions Club member.
Mini-Cheer clinic Oct. 1-3
High school cheerleaders are sponsoring a Mini-Cheer clinic for grades PK through fifth grade. Come learn cheers, chants and a dance. The $25 cost of the clinic includes a t-shirt.
The group will meet Tuesday, wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 1-3, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the elementary gym. The group will perform with the high school cheerleaders on Friday, Oct.

Flu shot clinic set Oct. 10th
The annual flu shot clinic will be Thursday, Oct. 10, from 12:30-2 p.m. at the wheatheart Nutrition center, 118 S. seventh, Tonkawa. It is free wth Medicare or other insurance or $25 without Medicare or other insurance. shots will be administered by Derrick Jones, pharmacist, Family Discount Pharmacy.
Class of 1974 reunion Saturday
The Tonkawa class of 1974 will meet at 6:30 p.,m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Kurt Kirtley residence, 114 East Tonkawa
Tonkawa will give ACT test
Tonkawa Public Schools will be giving the ACT test in the spring of 2020 to eligible juniors as part of the state contract with the Oklahoma State Department of Education and ACT. Last year over 95% of Oklahoma schools selected to administer the ACT. Our district believes this is an excellent opportunity for all eligible juniors to take the ACT at no cost to them or their families. There are many reasons that Tonkawa has chosen the ACT but most importantly the ACT is accepted at all US colleges. Chamber sponsors golf scramble
The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its Annual Fall Golf Scramble. It will be saturday, Sept. 21. Registrration begins at 8 a.m.
