Tonkawa’s Lady Bucs lost a heart-breaker 3-2 to Nowata Monday night here.
Camaryn Alexander hit a triple and a double, but it wasn’t enough. Jaci Johnson added four singles in the game.
Taylor Mercer pitched all seven innings, striking out 11. The Lady Bucs fell behind 0-3 going into the seventh and scored two in a valliant come-from-behind effort.
Alexander and Johnson both had RBI’s.
Gloria Reyes and Rylee Hampton had stolen bases.
The loss drops Tonkawa to 7-6 for the season so far.
The Lady Bucs were to play Kremlin-Hillsdale Tuesday.
They will play Woodward JV at the Chisholm Tournament at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, then again at 1:30 p.m. The girls will play Friday at 10 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. at Chisholm.
In action this past week, the Lady Bucs fell to Blackwell saturday, 4-12, beat Pawhuska last Friday 8-4, lost to Newkirk last Thursday, 1-11 and beat Caney Valley 18-3 Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Camaryn Alexander tripled in the lost to Newkirk Thursday, Sept. 5. She also scored the lone run for the Lady Bucs. Kristin Martin got the RBI with a single.

The Lady Bucs beat the Huskies 8-4 last Friday, Sept. 6.
Kenzie Glenny doubled. Kristin Martin had one stolen base.

Blackwell 12 Tonkawa 4
Alexander, Mercer and Johnson all doubled in the 4-12 loss to Blackwell. Runs were scored by alexander, skylee Perkins, Rylee Hampton and Gloria Reyes.
Mercer and Jules Thompson both pitched for the Lady Bucs. Mercer had four strikeouts.

Alexander, Mercer, Martin and Johnson all doubled in tonkawa’s 18-3 win over Caney Valley.
Taylor Mercer had four RBI’s, Alexander, Martin, Perkins and Johnson two each.
Martin, Hampton and Linton each had two stolen bases. Kenzie Glenny had one.
Hampton led the team in scoring with four. Martin, Perkins three each, Glenny two, Alyssa Pando, autumn Roberts, Linton one each.
Mercer pitched five innings, striking out eight.
