Northern Oklahoma College soccer named George Robinson and Maddie Cochran NOC Tonkawa
Student Athletes of the Week for Sept. 9.
Robinson is a freshman forward from Maidstone, England while Cochran is a sophomore midfielder from Tulsa.
“She has had a solid start to the season,” women’s coach Jade Ovendale said of her sophomore midfielder. “She has scored two goals and assisted one. Maddie is playing on a different level right now, her passing from midfield has been great and has offensively been involved more.”
Robinson had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan last week.
“George (Robinson) has played well in all three games so far this season,” said coach Michael
Duroy. “When he completely adjust to our style of play he is going to be a problem for opposing teams.” Northern Oklahoma College, the state’s first community college, is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services which create life-changing experiences and develop students as effective learners and leaders within their communities in a connected, ever changing world.
