Tonkawa’s Lady Bucs got out to a five-run lead in the third inning and held on for a
10-9 win over Pawnee monday evening in a crucial district ball game.
The win evened up the Lady
Bucs’ at 3-3 for the young season.
Tonkawa’s fast pitch ball girls went 2-2 in the Ripley tournament last weekend -beating Wellston 5-3 and Carney 7-1, but losing to Dale 0-8 and Glencoe 1-3.
This week, the Lady Bucs turn their attention towards the
Morrison tournament and are looking for their third straight championship there. (See related story for Lady Buc games this weekend).
In the Pawnee win Monday,
Camaryn Alexander tripled and catcher Jaci Johnson doubled. Johnson also added two singles, as did Taylor Mercer, pitcher. Kristin Martin, Skylee
Perkins and Kenzie Glenny also singled in the game. autumn roberts and Ashton
Linton each scored twice, while
Johnson, Alexander, Martin,
Perkins, Glenny and Rylee
Hampton each scored once.
Alexander, Mercer, Martin,
Perkins, Johnson and Glenny eah had an RBI.
Linton led the team in stolen bases with three. Martin had two and Alexander, Johnson,
Glenny and Hampton each had one.
Mercer got the win for the
Bucs, pitching all seven innings and striking out nine.

Taylor Mercer got the lone
RBI for Tonkawa in a 1-3 loss to Glencoe Thursday morning, aug. 15.
Kenzie Glenny stole two bases and Gloria Reyes one.

Alyssa Pando, Mercer all had singles in the game. The lone run was scored by Johnson.

The Lady Bucs were blanked by Dale 0-8 Thursday afternoon, aug. 15.
Camaryn Alexander and Skylee Perkins got the only hit. Glenny had one stolen base. Glenny pitched 4.1 innings.

The Lady Bucs beat Carney 7-1 Thursday evening, aug. 15.
Camaryn Alexander and Kristin Martin scored two runs each, while autumn Roberts, Gloria Reyes and Rylee Hampton each scored one.
Alexander doubled and Martin had two RBI’s while Roberts, Pando and Perkins each had one.
Pando, Alexander and Martin each had stolen bases.

Mercer pitched all five innings, striking out four.
