Cora Selvey was born to Robert and Grace Smithheisler June 22, 1926 in a farm house east of Danville, Kansas along with two brothers and one sister. Cora met her high school sweetheart in Marland, OK. She married Wayne Selvey on July 27, 1945 in Wellington, Kansas. They were married almost 68 years and went together four years before that. They had one son and three daughters. Wayne passed peacefully at home July 3, 2013. Wayne built their home in 1979, where she still resides. He also built the gazebo on North Main in Tonkawa. She was a member of the Marland Baptist Church and later is a member of Tonkawa Baptist. She has a daughter Sharon Yost of Dallas, TX, a daughter Jean Vasek and husband John of Perry, OK, one son Don Selvey and wife Sharon of Ponca City, OK, a daughter Roberta Schneeberger and husband Daniel of Blackwell, OK.
Cora has 4 children, 40 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
