Frankie Valens will sing at Jubilee Saturday

Featured guest singer at the Ponca City Gospel Jubilee Saturday , July 13th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Osage on highway 60. will be “Frankie and Phyllis Valens” Ministries.

The Valens are singers, song writers, musicians and recording artists that now live in Mulvane Kansas. Frankie was a night club singer in the late 60’s and early 70’s whose signature song was “this magic moment” and “Smoke gets in your eyes”. The Byrd’s, The Platters, and The Boxtops are 60s groups with whom Frankie has shared the spotlight. Phyllis is an accomplished pianist and writes some of the music for their ministry. They now travel and sing for the Lord and share the word through song and testimony throughout the country as well as the oldies! Frankie had the opportunity of singing in front of 35,000 enthusiastic Quixstar folk, where on the same ticket were former president Ronald Reagan and country singer Crystal Gale. He sang for the inauguration of a former mayor of San Diego, California, and for former California Governor Pete Wilson’s 60th birthday party at Sea World in San Diego.
