Yearbook Staff Finishes Book
Finishing touches were being put on the 1954 Round-Up, yearbook at Northern Oklahoma Junior college, by the staff today. Friday is the deadline for the staff to mail the finished book to the
Semco Yearbook Publishing company in Oklahoma City, according to Nevaleen Schmitz, editor.
The cover and dedication of the yearbook have been chosen, but will not be announced until the Round-Up signing party this spring. Kay Barnhart, Tonkawa freshman, will be crowned Round-Up queen.
The staff includes Margie Brooks, Shirley Evans, Laura Lee,
Frances Myers, Ruth Merritt, Nita Lash, Caryl Corderman, Pat
Raupe, Terry Reynolds, Bernell Feken, Virginia Hardin, Carole
Blackard, Paul Wooldridge and Jack Bewley.
Miss Pearl Ramsey, A. D. Buck, and V. L. Sternitzke are Round-Up Sponsors and J. D. Farris is yearbook photographer.
Unity Club Meeting Held in Cole Home
Mrs. Wilmer Cole and Mrs. Golda Gardner were hostesses to members of the Unity club when the group held its regular meeting in the Cole home, 207 South Fourth.
Mrs. W. Paul Jones conducted the afternoon session which opened with an Easter lesson led by Mrs. Albert Fehrenbach, who gave “The Story of the Cross” and “The History of Our Dogwood
Trees.” Unison prayer closed the period.
“Hints on Easter Costumes” was used as roll response.
During the business session cards of thanks were read from E.
B. Barnhart and Mrs. V. L. Thompson, Sr., and the sickness report given. The poem, “Just a Little” by W. F. Iwan was read by
Mrs. Floyd Christian. A seed and bulb exchange concluded the program.
Mrs. Charles Jones received the drill prize and Mrs. E. B. Barn-hart the mystery package.
An Easter motif was carried out in the refreshments served to
Mrs. Maimbourgh of Tulsa, Mrs. Johnny Smith and Miss Sharon
Cole, guests, and to members, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Fehrenbach, Mrs.
Christian, Mrs. Barnhart, Mrs. Fred Irby, Mrs. A. C. Koelling, Mrs.
Roy Marsh, Mrs. Amy Perkins, Mrs. Mike Sschuessler, Mrs. V. L.
Thompson, Sr., Mrs. Nora Knable, and Mrs. Frank Wilkins.
Mrs. Irby was announced as hostess for the next meeting when plans for the club’s spring birthday luncheon will be completed.

Dr. Ron Appleman Wins JC Group Presidency
Dr. Ron Appleman, chairman of the Department of Science and
