Tonkawa Buc baseballers are heading for the Class 2A regional tournament this weekend for the eighth straight year.
The Bucs parlayed 14-1 and 13-0 wins over Hooker to get their eighth straight district championship last Thursday.
For only the third time in the past nine years, according to Head Coach Brady Holland, the Bucs will be going somewhere else besides Dale for the regionals.
This year, Tonkawa will be at Christian Heritage for a 1 p.m. Thursday date vs. Ketchum in the first round.
They will then play the winner of Christian Heritage and Crescent at 3 p.m. Thursday.
Losers of those first round games will play at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The Bucs lost to Drummond at Enid Monday night 1-3. Tonkawa is now 20-7 on the season heading into regionals.
Blake Scott hit two doubles in the 14-1 win over Hooker. Brady Hook hit a triple and a double in the 13-0 win.
Both games lasted only four innings because of the run rule.

Besides Scott’s doubles in the first game Hook also doubled.
Hook led the team in RBI’s with three. Jake Randall and Scott each had two.
Noah Campbell, Kai Day, Dylan Hamilton, Jake Morgan and Jake Randall all had stolen bases.
Campbell scored three runs, Hamilton and Day two each and Parker Miller, Chazz Slavens, Brandon Alexander, Hook, Cameron Grein, randall and Jake Morgan one each.
Hook pitched all four innings, striking out five.
